To address the relationship between quality assurance and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP),
the Texas A&M University Department of Soil & Crop Sciences and the Office of the Texas State Chemist developed
Feed Industry HACCP courses with grant support from USDA-CSREES Integrated Food Safety Initiative.
Our instructors are experienced regulators and Texas A&M University faculty, and our courses are
designed for feed industry professionals who need practical strategies for compliance and reporting.
Each course emphasizes a science-based approach for identifying and managing hazards in feed ingredients and
finished feed, and the promotes the application of management science and HACCP principles to maintain a safe feed manufacturing system.
Participants who successfully complete the course requirements receive a Texas A&M University
certificate of completion with the International HACCP Alliance seal, and/or graduate credit from Texas A&M
University. Members of the American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists are eligible to earn 8 continuing education units (CEU).
